Overview
 
ISG (Boundary Surface Generator) series static mixer is a series operation of continuous operation without moving parts. It can be used in liquid-liquid, liquid-solid, gas-liquid, solid-solid mixing process. Get an extremely accurate measurable interface layer. The mixer is easy to install, fast, low cost, lossless and maintenance free.
 
 
Mixing principle
 
The unit of the ISG static mixer is mounted in a tubular housing that can be easily removed for cleaning. The ends of the unit are cut into a certain cross section and joined together to form a tetrahedral mixing chamber. The four holes that pass through each unit provide a flow path for the logistics.
 
If the two materials pass through an ISG static mixer, they are divided into 8 layers when they pass the first unit, 32 layers when passing the second unit, and are divided into 128 layers when passing the third unit. ... and so on, when passing through the tenth unit is divided into more than 2 million layers, the relationship between the number of interfaces (L) and the number of strands (N) and the number of units (E) of the mixture is as follows: L = N (4)E
 
The four holes in the ISG static mixer are arranged at an angle. When one material flows in from the hole closest to the cell wall, the hole in the outflow is on the other side of the cell wall. The design of this hole ensures the unit. Each hole in the hole will not be contaminated by other materials.

Structure
 
The ISG static mixer can be used in pipes with a nominal diameter of 0.5" to 6" and is made of stainless steel, Teflon and polypropylene. Other materials and sizes can be customized according to user requirements.
 
The threaded ends of the 0.5" and 1" diameter stainless steel ISG static mixers are standard, and all other sizes are available with standard flange connections. The ISG static mixer can be welded and flanged (see Figures 1, 2) or with a hot and cold jacket (see Figure 5).
 
The fixed capacity of the ISG static mixer is only 17% of the pipe, thus minimizing material loss during downtime.

Application
 
When the mixing unit is required to be quickly removed for easy cleaning, the ISG static mixer is the best choice and meets hygienic requirements.
 
The mixing effect of the ISG Static Mixer when mixing materials with viscosities up to 250,000:1 or higher is unmatched.
 
In operation, in order to achieve a predetermined degree of mixing, a comparison can be made according to the example shown in Table 2 to select an appropriate number of units.
